I made a 102 on my first Anthropology test!

I love this song. If I were a lesbian, Ingrid Michaelson would be the woman of my dreams.

I hate to admit it, but I also like Britney Spears' new song. It's not really a great song, but it's very catchy!

I'm tired of writing papers. I've already had to write 3 and I have 4 more to write this semester.

I started playing Kingdom Hearts on my PS2 this past weekend and it's fun! I love Disney

I wish my computer wouldn't shut down every time I try to play a game. Some days I'm lucky if I can watch a video on YouTube while iTunes is open. Don't want to overexert yourself there, computer, you only get to rest all day while I'm in class and at work!

I need to reactivate my Netflix account when I get paid next week.

I haven't been able to watch Gossip Girl for the past few weeks and I kind of miss it.

I made an 'A' on my English essay/test thing! I made an 'A' on my math test! I didn't make an 'A' on my other math test, but that's okay because I still passed it! I still haven't found out what I made on my first Anthropology essay. I've been excited about that one because I actually had fun writing it.

Tomorrow is Don's last day at the Wal-Mart store that he has been working at for the past several years. One of his co-workers decided that today would be the appropriate day for her to tell him that she has a crush on him. She has been keeping her crush a secret because of his position at the store. She figured that, now that he's moving to another store, he's fair game. Silly girl!

Don got into the assistant manager program with Wal-Mart and he'll be going to Grenada, MS for training in a little over a week. Way to go, Martypants!!

I had a dream last night that Kevin, my boss, told me that I was going to be starring in a movie with Brendan Fraser. Brendan was there, his hair was shoulder length, and he cracked my knuckles for me. Our characters in the movie were married and we had two children (boy & girl) and a stuffed cat...not taxidermy-stuffed, but a stuffed animal that's cuddly.

I'm downloading some songs by Self that I haven't listened to in forever. I almost forgot how much I love Matt Mahaffey, and that is insane! My friend Zach got me listening to Self when I was either 16 or 17. He passed away in May of 2001 and I think about him every time I listen to Self. This is one of my favorite songs!

I'm so glad this week is over! I thought it was never going to end. I hate these nights when Don works until 11 (10 in LA)...it feels like forever before I get to talk to him.

David Sedaris and stuff

Hello world!

Laura and I went to see David Sedaris on Saturday. He read several new stories, some excerpts from a book that he didn't write, and signed books! David went on stage a little after 8. We quickly realized that we were sitting next to two of the most obnoxious people on earth. David went off stage around 10. We bought some books and got in line for the signing. We were the very last people in line and ended up waiting until 11:40 to get our books signed. We learned a lot about the couple in front of us without even having to talk to them.

We bought dad a book for his birthday and David wrote in it, "To Chris: Diabetes are for lovers." HA! He's great.

Here's what he did in my book:

It is a turtle who loves Jesus but turned into an abortion clinic. I don't know where that came from, but that's what it is and I do like turtles. He drew Laura an Abe Lincoln turtle.

My cultural anthropology class started a couple of weeks ago. So far it is going well! I had to turn in my first paper on Monday and I keep checking to see if my grade has been posted, but it hasn't. I feel good about it though. It was an ethnography paper, so we had to write about a time where we were around a culture that was different from our own. I wrote about visiting Don in Louisiana and some of the differences between Louisiana and South Carolina. I focused on the food and language.

I bought a new pursey thing last night! I don't know how grown up it actually is, but I think it's pretty cute.

Well, I'm going to go watch Pushing Daisies and Project Runway. Adios!
