Amy Winehouse makes me smile.

I had originally planned on seeing Tropic Thunder and Hamlet 2 today. I've decided to start going to movies by myself because, a lot of the time, no one else is interested in seeing the movies that I want to see. Don decided to ruin my plans and told me that I needed to watch The Dark Knight, so I figured I can see the other two movies later and I watched The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight was pretty much awesome, except for Batman's creepy deep voice. Heath Ledger did an AMAZING job as The Joker. I think he totally deserves all of the praise that he has been given, and I think people would still love his performance if he were alive. I'm so glad that Katie Holmes didn't return to play Rachel...I can't stand watching her play any character. I'm not a huge fan of Maggie Gyllenhaal either, but she was definitely better than Katie. Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart were great and hot, except for the part where Aaron was only half-hot. I give the best movie reviews...ha!

Gustav is on his way to visit Don and his family! The parish that they live in is under mandatory evacuation, however they are not leaving! They've boarded up their windows and stocked up on the necessities: Spam, Pop-Tarts and Hawaiian Punch. Hopefully we won't see them on TV, sitting on top of their roof, waving for help as water swallows their house...loons. ;)

AHHHH!

I'm in the theater waiting for The Dark Knight to start. There are 10 people here, including me. An older couple and a young boy sat down right in front of me. I'm on the very last row and apparently this is where they wanted sit, because they stared at me for a minute before deciding the plop down right in front of me. I had to hear about their dinner plans (nachos from Moe's), what the kid's mom fixed him for lunch, and that he doesn't like white cheese. Oh, and the kid keeps belching loudly and apparently that's funny to the older couple. They are chowing down on Doritos. The older woman pets this boy like he's a dog.

Recovering from my lameness!

My summer classes are over! I don't know what my final grade in math is (I'm thinking a 'B'), but I earned a 'B' in Public Speaking and I couldn't be happier because that class was torture.

The fall semester, my last semester at MTC(!!!!), starts on August 25. I'll be taking College Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Cultural Anthropology, and Asian Literature. My Anthropology class doesn't start until mid-September because it's a 10-week class.

I went shopping with Laura today and bought some new shoes:

They're like slippers, but not! I love them, and my orange socks!

I'm starting to see previews for fall TV shows and I'm getting excited!! Ugly Betty, The Starter Wife, Lipstick Jungle, Chuck, Pushing Daisies...ahhhhh...so nice.
