I ran across a couple of fun names at work today that I'd like to share:
Allahsupreme (first name)...I have been inspired to name my firstborn child Yahwehgrande.
Sterling Stirrup (first and last name)...strip much?

I bought my ticket to see Lifehouse with Matt Nathanson and honeyhoney!
I saw that Sara Bareilles is going to be on tour with Rachael Yamagata at the end of April and they are going to be in Charlotte. AWESOME.
I have a new keyboard and I'm finding it very hard to adjust to it. It takes me, like, 5 minutes to type one sentence. Not really, but it takes longer than normal.
I think Don totally forgot about me tonight. Don, you're a butthole!

Telling on you!
My dad is supposed to be fixing my computer but he's watching Cops instead. I guess watching Cops is a lot more interesting than playing with computer parts though, so I kind of can't blame him. :oP
I went shopping today and bought some new pants for work and a couple of shirts. That made me happy! Supposed to be going shopping with Ashlee tomorrow. I'm going to make her go to Old Navy with me.
I decided to reactivate my Netflix account. Eagle vs Shark will be here soon.
I didn't go see Jeremy Fisher like I had planned to last night. I couldn't bring myself to pay $15 just to see one person perform because I wasn't planning on staying for the whole show. I am, however, going to get tickets to see HoneyHoney, Matt Nathanson and Lifehouse in Charlotte in April. Have I mentioned that I totally love Matt Nathanson? I do.
Weight loss is going well. I'm down about 13lbs, whoop!

I had a dream last night that Ashlee and I went to a Matt Nathanson concert. We arrived early and, for some reason, Matt started playing early. After the very first song ("Come On Get Higher"), Ashlee decided that she was ready to leave because she didn't like the music. For some odd reason, I decided to be nice and I said we could leave.
As we were leaving, someone caught Ashlee's attention and they went off together. I saw a bunch of guys from work and they asked if I could give them a ride home. I said sure and we all piled into my car. Just minutes after that I decided that I wanted to go back to the concert because I wanted to see it and I didn't care if Ashlee did or not.
I went back to the concert and the show was over. Luckily, Matt was still signing autographs. I had a book that I bought earlier in the day and he autographed it for me and gave me his phone number (after a short convo about buying drinks). He even sort-of remembered my name, "Gayle Rice". Gayle is the important part!
I told him about missing the show and asked if he would sing a song for me. He did, but I don't remember what it was.
I remember Sanders Bohlke and Jenny Owen Youngs also being at the show. That would have been a good show!

I'll give you lots of yummy candy if you'd like
I used some hair removal cream last night and now my face is all broken out. I made sure to throw away the crap that I used. I don't know what I'm going to do about unsightly facial hair...I may have to go through life looking like a vertically challenged Wookiee. :(
I haven't been sleeping well lately. I woke up around 4am Thursday morning and decided to stay awake and go to work at 7. I went to sleep around 9:30 Thursday night and then woke up at 3:30am to the sound of one of my cats vomitting on my bed (thanks Rex!). Naturally, I removed my soiled comforter and changed my bed sheets because that was extremely disgusting (and I'm sure you wanted to read about that just a much as my family wanted to hear about it). I wasn't able to get back to sleep until around 5:30am and then I woke up around 7:30 to get ready for work. I went to sleep around 11 last night (Friday night) and woke up around 1:30am and, obviously, I still haven't been able to get back to sleep. Mr. Sandman, why must you torture me so?!
I started reading "My Friends the Wild Chimpanzees" by Jane Goodall while I was at work yesterday. I didn't finish the other book that I was reading because my A&A teacher started lecturing about Primatology, Jane Goodall and Dian Fosssey and that made me go, "Oooooohhh! Neato!", so I went to the library and checked out one of Ms. Goodall's books. It's a good, easy read and I'm enjoying it. This works out well because I have to read a book for A&A and write a four-page paper on it, so now I have a book!
I bought a couple of skirts on eBay. They are yellow and blue. I think they're cute!
I will be sleeping in Louisiana at this exact time next month. Wahoo!
I'm going to try going to sleep here in SC now.

Spend part of your time modeling and part of your time next to meeeeeeee
I had my first A&A test yesterday and it was a slight pain in the butt. There were 15 short answer questions worth 5 pts each. They went like this:
1) 4004 BCEThat's it. I had to write what the significance of 4004 BCE is, who came up with it, how, why, and whatever else I could think to mention. I would have preferred to answer a question like, "What year did Bishop Ussher calculate that the Earth was created?"
We also had 3 discussion questions that were worth 25 pts each. The total amount of points on the test was 150. We were allowed to answer any combination of questions that we wanted as long as they totalled up to 100 pts. The teacher said that we could answer more than 100 pts and he'd throw out a bad answer and replace it with a better one from the answers that we gave. I don't know how well I did on my discussion questions. I mentioned "gene flow" and "gene pool" a few times while talking about evolution and natural selection, so hopefully that worked out somehow!
All of my answers ended up taking up 2 full pages, front and back. I hope he can read my writing. Anyway, he said that the first test is the most difficult one, so that leaves me hopeful.
My math man gave back our tests yesterday. I made an "A"! Whoop, whoop! I told my mom that if all else fails, maybe I can become a mathematician...HA! Mrs. Gowan would pee her pants, and I probably would too.
Work is slow today. I have been doing Sudoku puzzles. I can do a moderately difficult puzzle in 6 minutes!
I wonder if I can attach a picture to this e-mail and it'll post in my blog...let's test it out! If it works, there will be a picture of my new satchel. If it doesn't work, then you're really missing out and I'll look retarded!
IT WORKED! Isn't it great?! It's made by loop and it is based on Andy Warhol's painting, "Heaven and Hell are just one breath away!". I like it.
