My throat hurts and my nose is runny. I'm drinking some hot orange spice tea to try to soothe my throat...it's not working but at least it tastes good! Another person and I have decided that, if I do get a full-blown sickness, it's This One Person's fault for bringing their sick grandchild around us other people, coughing and sneezing all over.
I'm supposed to be going to the NeverBetter show with Ashlee and (maybe) Daron tonight but I don't know if she's going to feel up to it; she wasn't feeling well when I talked to her last night. I hope she feels okay though because I'd like to go! We haven't been to a show since November. I was going to see if Phillip wants to go but he has to work tonight...boo, Phillip!
I didn't go walking today. "Since it's Friday," we decided to go out to eat for lunch at San Jose instead of going to walk. I'm going to walk some this weekend though.
They've been cutting back our hours at work over the past couple of weeks. On the current pay period, we were only allowed to get 75 hours and now they've cut us back to 70 hours for the next pay period. It sucks but I'm kind of happy about it at the same time; it gives me less time to make up for being at school, hooray!
I'm going back to reading my A&A book now.

My computer makes me want to spit acid
Barrett and I have started going walking at Crooked Creek Park on our lunch break. We went to walk yesterday and he passed me TWICE! I was thinking, "Crap! My fast walk isn't even fast!" I thought about it and decided that it wasn't my fault-- his legs are just longer than mine, so I felt much better! I only walked a mile, but that was more than I normally walk and it felt good...except I got bored after a couple of laps because my stupid MP3 player died, and my shoes made my feet hurt. I will be armed with batteries from now on. I will also wear real sneakers instead of my pseudo-sneakers that I wear to work.
Classes are going well so far. I'm taking a math class for the mathematically challenged and I'm also taking Physical Anthropology & Archeology (A&A from now on). I'm learning that I'm not as mathematically challenged as I thought I was and I'm actually enjoying math! Maybe I'll become a mathematician...Pythagoras, move over! The Gaylean Theorem is about to steal the limelight!
We haven't really done a whole lot in my A&A class. We had a nice review about Darwin, learned about he different branches of Anthropology, and then we started watching a video about Ötzi the Iceman, which was pretty much awesome! I want to dig up prehistoric people some day and be able to say, "We can tell by this bowel sample taken from the mummy that his last meal consisted of carbohydrates and water." Whoaaa, watch out! Seriously though, it was cool and I'd love to be able to do something like that.
I finally finished reading the last Harry Potter book today! Overall, I'm satisfied with the ending and very thankful that I was able to successfully avoid having the book ruined for me until I got around to reading it! Now I have started reading "Then We Came to the End" by Joshua Ferris. I'm going to have to read a book for my A&A class, so I figured I should squeeze in a couple of books that I want to read before I'm forced to read one.
It's almost time for Ugly Betty! Gene Simmons is guest-starring tonight! Peace out!

I didn't get to see any snow last night, but apparently it did snow for a short while because my mom said that it was snowing when she went to the grocery store. Weather Channel, I half-ass apologize for doubting you.
I had to venture into the Harbison area this afternoon and decided to stop by the mall so I could spend my gift card from P&J. Naturally, I gravitated toward Torrid to check out what they had on clearance. I was happy to see that a couple of tops I had been wanting were still in stock, in my size, and an additional 50% off of the clearance price! You'd think I'd have been thrilled and that I'd have rushed up to the cash register to pay and leave with my pretty new tops, right? Not quite.
I decided to go look at some jeans and I overheard the two salespeople talking with two guys who were just sitting in the store. They were talking about the contests that the mall has where people can win a car by keeping their hand on the car for the longest amount of time. They were trying to figure out how the cars end up inside of the mall. One of the girls said something along the lines of, "Like, I always thought that they, like, use, like a crane or something like that to, like, lower it through the ceiling, but I've never, like, seen a crane doing that, so like I'm not sure."
I could not make myself pay for my tops. I don't know why; her sentence just struck a nerve and I had to put the tops back and leave.
I walked around the mall and checked out a few more stores, didn't see anything that I was interested in. I ended up at Rack Room Shoes and they had a nice little clearance sale: 60% off of clearance prices. Heck yes! I picked up a couple pairs of Rocket Dog shoes for $18 after using my gift card and all was good.
I want a brown Zune.

So, it doesn't look like we're getting any of this so-called "snow". We were only supposed to get an inch or two of snow, but still...it's snow. WHY DO YOU LIE, WEATHER CHANNEL?! Curse you!!
I need to clean my room.

Jeremy Fisher is going to be in Columbia on 02/15! I saw him back in September when he was touring with Jenny Owen Youngs. Jeremy is a trip and he's totally adorable, his music isn't bad either! Definitely looking forward to seeing him again.
NeverBetter show at Headliners on 01/25.
Matt Nathanson & Ingrid Michaelson in Greenville on 01/29.

HELLO WORLD!
I have decided to start keeping a "regular" blog so that my fellow people of the world may enjoy my life right along with me. I can only hope that my life is as much fun to read about as it is to live because it is awesome; I go to work, classes, back to work, and then I usually come home and do stuff. Like I said, it is awesome.
Tomorrow is Saturday, which means no work and no school! I plan on going to Bank of America and then stopping by Wal-Mart. I may not end up doing either of those things. I have read that we might be getting some snow tomorrow. I hope I won't be disappointed this time!
