That's a bingo!

Don and I were going to see 9 today but we found out that it's only playing at 2 theaters, both of them in Lafayette, and we didn't feel like driving 45 minutes for a movie that's not even an hour and a half long. We stayed in town and went to see Inglourious Basterds and it was pretty much awesome. It's been a while since we watched a movie that didn't leave us feeling like we wasted our time and money, and this definitely made up for all of those disappointing movies!

People keep asking Don and me how married life is going; every time we tell them it's "about the same as before," and they tell us to just wait, because it won't stay that way for long. Is there a 90-day grace period after your wedding before you really feel like a married couple? I guess we just have to wait and see!

A couple of my favorite singer ladies have released new albums over the past couple of weeks, and that means it's tour time! So, naturally, I decided to see when/if they're going to be touring near me and, just my luck, they're both going to be in New Orleans on days that absolutely do not work for me at all. Super.

I'm in desperate need of a haircut.

Louisiana Life

Louisiana is a crazy place.

I have eaten fried frog legs, fried alligator, crawfish stew, fried crawfish, shrimp spaghetti, chicken and sausage spaghetti, and barbecue spaghetti. The barbecue spaghetti has to be THE worst thing I've eaten down here...actually, it's probably the worst thing I've EVER eaten. I found out yesterday that barbecue spaghetti isn't even a "normal" Louisiana cuisine. Don's mom apparently invented it.

People around here don't get in a hurry to do anything unless they're driving, and they all drive like lunatics. People driving trucks are the worst. I was just going to say "Men driving trucks..." but that wouldn't have been fair, because Don's mom was driving a truck when I first moved here and that was pretty scary.

It is HOT down here. I've probably sweat 25 years worth of sweat over the past couple of months. I was also going to say that people here are lazy, but they're probably lazy because they're so hot.

I am never getting married again. If, for some reason, Don and I don't work out, I will have no qualms about becoming a spinster cat lady.

Don will be here on January 3rd to drive to Louisiana with me! We're going to hang around for a few days before leaving. I'm hoping we'll be able to make a stop at Panini Pete's in Alabama on our way to LA. I saw it featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and I'd really like to try it!

I picked up my new eyes yesterday:

There are white polka dots on the inside of the frame. You can't see them but I can. It's like a secret...shhh! I was looking at the polka dots while I was walking around at work and that slightly impaired my ability to walk, so I know not to do that again.

I had a little old lady tell me that my car is "darling!"

I only have 4 MORE DAYS of classes this semester! I can't wait until it's over! I'll have time to read again!

I'm beginning my Christmas shopping this weekend! The only thing I enjoy almost as much as shopping for myself is shopping for others! ;D

I made a 102 on my first Anthropology test!

I hate to admit it, but I also like Britney Spears' new song. It's not really a great song, but it's very catchy!

I'm tired of writing papers. I've already had to write 3 and I have 4 more to write this semester.

I started playing Kingdom Hearts on my PS2 this past weekend and it's fun! I love Disney

I wish my computer wouldn't shut down every time I try to play a game. Some days I'm lucky if I can watch a video on YouTube while iTunes is open. Don't want to overexert yourself there, computer, you only get to rest all day while I'm in class and at work!

I need to reactivate my Netflix account when I get paid next week.

I haven't been able to watch Gossip Girl for the past few weeks and I kind of miss it.
